Concurrent has its own in-house system for efficiently tracking our crews and work orders assigned for increased efficiency in times of emergency. Concurrent can deliver – on short-notice – experienced restoration crews, properly equipped and ready to respond to any service interruptions.
In the interconnected, technology driven world we live in today, emergency storm service is a lot more than simply getting the lights back on, it’s a restoration of our way of life. Concurrent’s mission is to keep the electricity flowing by providing grid hardening/resiliency services to utilities every day to minimize damage before disaster strikes – and unparalleled emergency restoration when it does.
Telecommunications Services for Utilities
Latest generation telecommunications networks (especially wireless) must utilize all available infrastructure on which to collocate their fiber and radio products. As wireless carriers spend billions to densify their networks, obtaining approval to erect a cell tower is becoming increasingly difficult. Power distribution poles, streetlights and transmission towers are now obvious choices as mounting assets.
Concurrent is managed by experienced professionals from both the telecommunication and power utility industries. These experts have performed numerous small cell, wireless and fiber colocation projects and fully understand how to manage the completion of turnkey projects, manage and minimize risk, and provide the expected results, on time and within budget.
As NERC standards for security and reliability become more demanding, utilities’ telecommunication needs increase. Traditional networks supporting SCADA applications are not capable of providing real-time video monitoring of critical infrastructure. The Concurrent Team is capable of installing latest-generation telecommunications networks in the power space.
