Concurrent LLC
SMS Text Messaging Opt-In and Opt-Out Policy
Effective Date: July 30, 2026
Overview
Concurrent LLC (“Concurrent,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) uses SMS text messaging, sent through our messaging platform provider (Twilio), to notify field technicians of job assignment and job status changes (for example: new job assigned, schedule change, job canceled, or job completed). This policy describes how technicians are enrolled in this program (opt-in) and how they can stop receiving messages at any time (opt-out).
Opt-In Policy
Who receives messages
Text messages are sent only to Concurrent field technicians (employees and contractors) who have affirmatively agreed to receive them. This is an operational, work-related messaging program — it is not used for marketing or promotional purposes, and mobile numbers are never sold, shared, or used for marketing by any third party.
Opt-In Consent Language
Technicians are enrolled by their Concurrent dispatcher or supervisor as part of Before a technician’s mobile number is added to our messaging system, the technician must affirmatively check a dedicated consent box presented on our technician onboarding form. This checkbox is separate and distinct from — and is not combined with — acceptance of our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, or employment/contractor agreement. The exact consent language presented to the technician at the point of sign-up is:
“☐ Yes, I want to receive SMS text messages from Concurrent LLC at the mobile number provided above. These messages will include job assignment notifications and job status updates, such as a new job being assigned, a schedule change, a job cancellation, or a job being marked complete. Message frequency varies based on my job schedule. Message and data rates may apply. I can reply STOP at any time to cancel, or HELP for help. Consent is not required as a condition of employment. This consent is separate from, and in addition to, my acknowledgment of Concurrent LLC’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.”
The checkbox is unchecked by default and the technician must actively select it; consent is never pre-checked or implied. A technician who does not check this box will not be enrolled in text messaging and will instead receive job assignment and status updates by phone call or through the Concurrent field service app.
How and where consent is collected
Consent is collected directly from the technician, in writing, at the time they are onboarded into Concurrent’s field service scheduling system:
- The technician completes the onboarding form (paper or digital) and enters their own mobile phone number.
- The technician is shown the Opt-In Consent Language above as its own, standalone checkbox on that form.
- The technician must actively check the box to consent; leaving it unchecked means the technician is not enrolled in SMS messaging.
- Only after the technician has checked the box does Concurrent staff enter the number into the messaging system.
No technician is enrolled in text messaging based on a supervisor’s assumption or a general employment signature — enrollment always requires the technician’s own, separate, affirmative action on the consent checkbox described above.
First message confirmation
Upon enrollment, each technician receives an initial text message identifying Concurrent LLC as the sender, describing the purpose of the program, and explaining how to opt out. A sample of this message is:
“Concurrent LLC: You’ve been enrolled to receive job status text alerts. Msg frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to cancel.”
Message frequency and cost
Message frequency varies based on the technician’s job assignments and schedule changes and is not a fixed, recurring number of messages per month. Standard message and data rates from the technician’s wireless carrier may apply.
Opt-Out Policy
How to opt out
A technician may withdraw consent and stop receiving job-status text messages at any time by replying STOP, END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, or QUIT to any message received from Concurrent LLC.
After opting out, the technician will receive one final confirmation message acknowledging that they have been unsubscribed and will no longer receive text notifications. A sample confirmation message is:
“Concurrent LLC: You have successfully been unsubscribed. You will not receive any more messages from this number. Reply START to resubscribe.”
Re-enrolling
A technician who has opted out may resume receiving messages by replying START, YES, or UNSTOP, or by contacting their dispatcher or supervisor to be re-enrolled.
Getting help
A technician may reply HELP to any message at any time to receive support contact information. Technicians may also contact us directly using the information below.
Because this program supports internal job dispatching, technicians who opt out should notify their supervisor so that job status updates can be relayed to them through an alternate method (for example, phone call or the dispatch app).
Relationship to Our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service
Consent to receive SMS text messages under this program is collected on its own, separate from any other agreement. It is not bundled with, implied by, or required in order to accept Concurrent LLC’s Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, or any employment or contractor agreement, and accepting those documents does not by itself enroll a technician in text messaging.
Mobile phone numbers and SMS opt-in consent collected for this program are used solely to deliver job-status notifications to technicians and are not shared with third parties for their own marketing purposes. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. For more information on how Concurrent LLC collects and handles personal data, see our Privacy Policy.
