Without amplification, first responders can lose contact with each other, dispatch, or teams outside a building. Properly engineered and installed Bidirectional amplification systems (BDAs) can ensure lifeline communications throughout the structure.
International Fire Code requires minimum in-building radio coverage (typically 95–99% of the building, with 99–100% in critical areas) and mandates BDAs if natural signal strength is insufficient
Many municipalities (e.g., in Florida, California, Texas, and others) have stricter rules, requiring BDAs in high-rises, hospitals, schools, large commercial spaces, or any building failing a pre-occupancy RF signal survey.
Concurrent provides professional RF surveys and predictive modeling to determine building compliance with local jurisdictional requirements.
